Method
- 1Wash rice thoroughly by rubbing it in a bowl of water with your hands. Drain the water and repeat the process 3-4 times or until the water runs clear.
- 2Add the washed rice to a large pot
- 3Add the measured water to the pot
- 4Put the pot on the stove on medium to high heat with the lid on
- 5Bring to a full boil and then reduce to low heat and allow to simmer
- 6Stir the rice occasionally to ensure the grains don’t stick together
- 7Continue cooking until the rice grains have broken down and the water has thickened. Approximately 45min-1hr.

Use a glass measuring cup to pour a serve consisting of 50% rice and 50% liquid
- 10Add a pinch of Himalayan rock salt
- 11Consume while hot
